Have you tried pecan
chicken salad recipe in home? If not, try at home, it is easy to make and with
full of nutrition.
Child’s and
those peoples who dislike chicken taste, they like to eat pecan chicken salad
because after boiling smell and taste is minimize, and addition of other
ingredients give attraction and boost flavor.
Salad are rich source
of fiber which help to reduce cholesterol, and to control blood sugar. When we
add chicken in salad, it will double the benefit of salads, chicken is full of protein,
vitamin, carbohydrate, mineral, fat and cholesterol.
Ingredients:
- Water: 6 Cup
- Celery Stalks: 3
- Chopped Onion: 1
- Pepper: 1/8 Tsp
- Chicken Breast: 1 1/4 Pounds
- Pecans Toasted Pieces: 1/4 Cup
- Red Grapes: 3/4 Cup
- Chopped Fresh Dill: 1tsp
- Mayonnaise: 1/3 Cup
- Dijon Mustard: Tbsp.
- Salt: As Required
Method:
In pot, at
medium heat, add water, one Celery Stalks with four pieces, chopped onion and
pepper. After 3-4 minutes cooking, add chicken and boil for 15-20 minutes. Check
chicken cook properly or not, give five minutes extra if require. Slow down
heat and check chicken, no pink color present of chicken pieces. Place chicken
to plate and stay for cool or after you can place in refrigerator.
In large bowl,
add left two Chopped Celery Stalks, grapes, pecans and dill. Then add mustard
and mayonnaise.
From refrigerator,
remove chicken and shred into small pieces, add shred pieces into bowl.
Mix all
ingredients with help of spoon, then add pepper and salt for taste.
Now recipe is
ready for serve, place it in refrigerator for use after few hours or after a day.
Instructions:
1) You can increase or decrease the
amount of ingredients as per requirement.
2) If you use refrigerate chicken than
increase its boiling time.
3) Don’t freeze prepared salad.
4) Don’t refrigerate more than 24
hours.
